The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for supplying power to land using a barge mounted power plant. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a power supply apparatus using a barge mounted power plant, comprising: a barge mounted power plant for generating power while floating on the surface of the sea; an electric power substation installed on land to supply power generated by an onshore power plant to a power grid by transforming the voltage thereof when the onshore power plant normally operates and to supply power generated by the barge mounted power plant to the power grid by transforming the voltage thereof when the onshore power plant does not normally operate; and a first gas supply line for supplying gas from a gas supply site to the onshore power plant when the onshore power plant normally operates and from the barge mounted power plant to the gas supply site when the onshore power plant does not normally operate.
