A foldable, portable containment (10) is disclosed having ground sheeting (12) which provides a floor section (14) with a peripheral retaining wall (10a,10b,10c,10d) made integral with the ground sheeting (12) to contain hazardous spillage from a vehicle moved upon the floor section (14) of the containment (10). Improved side bracing of the retaining wall is provided by rigid side braces (B) having a rigid vertical leg (20), an inclined rigid leg (22) which is affixed to a horizontal leg (24) at a hinge(26). The free end of the horizontal leg abuts the vertical leg so that the inclined leg is anchored a fixed distance away from the retaining wall at an optimum bracing angle for reinforcement. The side braces may be made reversible so that they may be disposed on either an interior side of the retaining wall or an exterior side of the retaining wall to provide a trip profile. In either case, an anchor tab (32) is provided to anchor the inclined leg at the hinge for optimum bracing effect. <IMAGE> |
