PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the costs of a one-way clutch by introducing such an arrangement that the inner ring to be furnished with a cam surface can be fabricated relatively simply. SOLUTION: The contour of an inner ring 1 is trimmed by a cold shaping process and the surface is hardened by a nitrosulfurizing process or a soft nitriding process. Thereby the surface of the ring 1 is first hardened with the cold shaping, and the hardness is further heightened by the following hardening process. This enhances the anti-abrasiveness and resistance against seizure of the ring 1. Adoption of the mentioned hardening process permits suppressing distortion of the ring 1 during the treatment process. |
