<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device and a photointerrupter which can effectively use a light generated from a light emitting element. SOLUTION: A photointerrupter 1 is provided with a first resin part 21 in which a light emitting element 31 is buried, a second resin part 22 in which a light receiving part 32 is buried, and an outer shell resin part 25 which covers side surfaces 21b, 22b of the first and the second resin parts 21, 22 and holds both of the resin parts 21, 22. A first light reflecting means 25 is installed which is closely in contact with the side surface 21b and/or a bottom surface 21c of the first resin part 21 and reflects a light which travels in the first resin part 21 and reaches the side surface 21b or the bottom surface 21c of the first resin part 21. Preferably, a second light reflecting means 25 is installed which is closely in contact with the side surface 22b and/or the bottom surface 22c of the second resin part 22 and reflects a light which travels in the second resin part 22 and reaches the side surface 22b or the bottom surface 22c of the second resin part 22.</p> |
