<p>A fluid pumping system includes a number of identical stages (20, 30, 40, 50). Each stage has a fluid chamber (22) having a top end (26) with an air aperture and a bottom end (25) with a fluid aperture. An air line (16) is connected to the air aperture, and a fluid input conduit, with an input check valve (21), is connected to the fluid aperture. A float-piston (24) is disposed in the chamber between the fluid aperture and air aperture. A fluid output conduit with a check valve (29) is connected to the fluid aperture above the input check valve. Alternate pumping stages are connected to a first and a second compressed air lines (16, 18), respectively. A control unit (70) regulates the timed supply of compressed air to each stage, and thus the sequential operation of the pumping stages.</p> |
