PURPOSE:To prevent a bright point defect from being generated without decreasing display brightness and to precisely correct only a defective pixel part. CONSTITUTION:Orientation films 11a and 11b at the bright point defective pixel part among respective pixel parts are broken and removed. Consequently, liquid crystal has no rotary polarization performance at the liquid crystal part of a liquid crystal layer 12 being in contact with the broken and removed orientation films 11a and 11b and the bright point defective pixel part which is a bright point so far becomes a dark point. When an excimer laser is used for its correction, only the orientation films 11a and 11b at the bright point defective pixel part can be broken and removed. |
