PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good cutting face in which working accuracy is enhanced by correcting roughness so that it is successively made flat and successively working the part which has been successively and flatly corrected, into a scarf face by a rotary cutting tool, in the case of working the end part of a boardlike body in which so-called roughness such as torsion, roughness and a warpage has been caused, into the scarf face. SOLUTION: In the case of cutting and working the end part of a boardlike body 3 into a scarf face by a rotary cutting tool 5, cutting work is performed while pressing at least a part of the surface by a pressing member 11 on the side in which at least the surface is removed as a cutting chip 17 from the boardlike body 3, among the surfaces in the vicinity of the edge 5a of the rotary cutting tool 5 on the surface on the lower position side in the moving direction of the rotary cutting tool and also on the opposite side to the surface touching a cutting tool-receiving base 7 of the boardlike body 3. |
