PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately control the emitted light quantity of a flash light emitting device even when the divided shape of the photometric part of a stationary light photometric means is different from that of the photometric part of a flash photometric means each other. SOLUTION: A stationary light photometric means opens and optically measures stationary light. A flash photometric means converges and optically measures the stationary light from a field to be photographed after a quick return mirror mirrors up. Further, the flash photometric means converges and optically measures the stationary light from the field to be photographed and the reflected light of the flash by the flash light emitting means (preliminary photometry). Consequently, the photometric value of the stationary light photometric means is not used in the selection of the divided area and the decision of the emitted light quantity of the flash photometric means and can be decided only by the photometric value of the flash photometric means. Therefore, even when the divided shape of the photometric part of the stationary light photometric means is mutually different from that of the photometric part of the flash photometric means, the emitted light quantity of the flash light emitting device can be adequately controlled.
