<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely assemble a weight consisting of another material to a head body consisting of titanium or titanium alloy of a head of a metal wood or the like. SOLUTION: A receiving body 22 consisting of the titanium or the titanium alloy is interposed between a main body shell member 18 and weight 21 constituting the head body. The weight 21 is caulked and joined to the receiving body 22 and thereafter the receiving body 22 is welded to the inside surface of the main body shell member 18. As a result, there is no more restriction on the material of the weight 21 although the fixation to the main body shell member 18 is executed by welding. The caulking of the weight 21 and the receiving body 22 is effected by press fitting the weight 21 into a recessed part 24 formed at the receiving body 22 and penetrating the pawl part 25 formed at the receiving body 22 into the weight 21.</p> |
