<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road tunnel ventilation system that can be operated in an energy-saving mode with the ventilation airflow limited to its minimum necessary amount while keeping constantly the inside of the tunnel environmentally satisfactory and preventing short-circuit flow from the entrance. SOLUTION: For a road tunnel equipped with ventilation facilities 13 and 14 in variable airflow for exhausting air out of a tunnel 11 and inducting fresh air into the tunnel, an image pickup apparatus 23 for picking up images of vehicles running in the tunnel, an image analyzing apparatus 21 for detecting traffic jam information by analyzing signals from the image pickup apparatus 23 and a control apparatus 17 for controlling airflow of the above-mentioned ventilation facilities 13 and 14, based on the above-mentioned traffic jam information detected, are provided.</p> |
