<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate harmful chlorine type gas from decomposed gas and to realize the detoxifying treatment of scrap accompanied by org. matter by effectively reacting a dechlorinating agent of which the surface is made rich in alkali substance by a porous alkali substance with chlorine type gas generated by heating to form harmless chloride. SOLUTION: In the case of heating and melting, scrap 1a and a dechlorinating agent 1b comprising an alkali substance are mixed in a heat treatment furnace 2 as pretreatment and generated chlorine type gas and the dechlorinating agent are subjected to contact reaction and harmful hydrogen chloride (HCl) is converted to harmless chloride (NaCl, KCl) to be detoxified and the detoxified scrap is melted in an electric furnace 5 and, from an alkali substance material containing an evaporated component separated and scattered by heating and reacting with chlorine type gas to form harmless salts, the evaporated component is separated and removed by heating to form the porous dechlorinating agent 1b which is, in turn, used to enhance reaction effect.</p> |
