PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the number of signal lines required, and concurrently, improve workability at the time of setting up and maintaining equipment. SOLUTION: A main control part 20 is disposed in a cage 2, which controls a motive power part enabling the car 2 to be moved up and down based on the operations of a switch at each floor and a switch within the cage. A communication control part 53 connected with a communication control part 33 and switches, which are disposed to the motive power part, is provided so as to allow the respective control parts 20, 33 and 53 composed of micro computers to be connected with signal lines. Since the respective control parts 20, 33 and 53 are composed of the microcomputers, a distributed control system can thereby be formed up, signal lines connecting the control parts with one another can thereby be lessened in number. Since the main control part 20 is disposed in the cage 2, a landing position and the like can thereby be simply adjusted from a space within the cage 2.
