PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily gather cables by reducing restriction of the layout of an insertion port. SOLUTION: In this outboard engine, a port 22 is formed on an engine cover constituted of a plurality of cover elements for covering an engine 4, and cables 20, 21 are guided from an insertion port 23 formed on the port part 22 to the inside. A port part 22 is formed over a plurality of cover elements, a port part 22F formed on one cover element 17 and a port part 22S formed on the other cover element 16 are so opened as to face the divided surfaces, the port parts 22F, 22S are joined to each other to form a single insertion port 23, an opening part of the insertion port 23 is blocked with a grommet 24, a wall 25 for dividing the opening part of the insertion port 23 is formed in the port part 22F of the cover element 17, and the cover element 17 is fixed to the engine 4 through a bracket extending from a boss 28 formed on the wall 25.
