PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a foamable drink, capable of inhibiting the foaming of the drink during its production process but capable of forming stable foam in the produced drink after thermally sterilized, by adding a specific amount of a milk component together with a foaming agent to a raw material liquid. SOLUTION: This method for producing a foamable drink comprises adding a milk component together with a foaming agent to a raw material liquid. Therein, the milk component is added in such an amount that the content of milk fat in the total amount of the drink is <=0.1 wt.%, preferably 0.01-0.05 wt.%. It is preferable to dissolve the milk component in the raw material liquid at a dissolution temperature of 25-50 deg.C, because the foaming of the drink during the process for producing the drink is remarkably inhibited in comparison with a case that the foaming agent is heated and dissolved in the production process. The milk component is preferably skim milk powder alone or a combination of the skim milk powder with milk and/or whole milk powder. The foaming agent includes an albumen peptide, a soybean protein and gelatin. A sugar component is preferably sucrose. |
