<p>A blood absorbing material (54) which is obtained by mixing water absorbing resin (58) with fine powder (57), depositing the fine powder (57) on the surface of the water absorbing resin (58) after the resin (58) is wetted, and then drying the resultant substance, or obtained by depositing the fine powder (57) on the resin (58) while the resin (58) is being wetted and then by drying it, and which has excellent blood absorbing and retaining features due to the fine powder (57) that can prevent the surface of the resin (58) from absorbing moisture in air. A blood absorbent which contains such a blood absorbing material (54), is used for a sanitary napkin or the like, and does not absorb moisture in air or on a body surface to ensure its original water absorbing feature.</p> |
