PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display device capable of obtaining a bright projected video without color shading. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the reflection type liquid crystal display element 3 having respective pixels 5a, 5b and 5c corresponding to the three-primary-color light beams of red, green and blue, and a hologram lens array 4 in which a hologram 4a arranged on the incident side of the three- primary-color light beams made incident on the element 3 and diffracting the three-primary-color light beams made incident at respectively different incident angles in accordance with the respective kinds of wavelength and the incident angles, and a hologram lens 4b condensing the three-primary-color light beams diffracted by the hologram 4a to the respectively corresponding pixels 5a, 5b and 5c; and the hologram lens array feeds back the three-primary-color light beams reflected by the pixels 5a, 5b and 5c in the same direction as that of the incident direction of the three-primary-color light beams. |
