The fixing of a pipe (C) to a body (1) with a through hole (2) consists of an extended terminal part (3) on the body (1) which has a threaded part (4) and an extension (5) for receiving the end of the tube. The coupling is effected by a nut (10), threaded to engage with the threaded part of the body. Part of the nut opens out radially when being screwed down whilst the other end (17) closes radially as the expansion of the end (16) increases.
