PURPOSE: A control box for a room air conditioner is provided to optimize the use of a usable space of an indoor unit of the air conditioner for slimming an air conditioning unit having a certain cooling capacity. CONSTITUTION: The control box for the room air conditioner contains:a housing equipped a reversed "L"-typed unit to limit a vertical unit(46) and a horizontal unit(48); the horizontal unit equipped an opening front unit limited by many peripheral extended corners; a sticking structure formed on more than one corners; control panel units(50, 52) embedded a control element, and equipped a opening rear unit limited many peripheral extended corners composed to be connected with the corner of the horizontal unit(48); a sticking structure composed to stick the control panel units(50, 52) in the horizontal unit by cooperating with the sticking structure of the horizontal unit in the corner.
