CATALYST CONVERTER FOR CONTROLLING VEHICLE POLLUTION AND OXYGEN STORAGE COMPLEX OXIDE

PURPOSE: The catalyst converter is provided to maintain high catalyst activation for a long time even under the hard work condition over 900°C. CONSTITUTION: The catalyst converter(1) for purifying exhaust gas is composed of: a heat-endurance supporting body(2); a film(3) formed on the supporting body; the film consisted of at least one kind of catalyst activation material and at least one kind of oxygen storage oxide. The oxygen storage oxide is selected among the oxide of Pr and Tb. The oxygen storage oxide can effectively store and release oxygen when combining to a catalyst converter even though the control central point for air-fuel mixture is converted from the chemical amount theory state to a thin layer.
