PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a small-sized base station device where power consumption is reduced through the selection of an operation of one carrier from an operation of two carries while assuring quality of entire communication in a base station or a mobile communication system adopting a diversity system. SOLUTION: The small-sized base station device 101 is provided with 1st and 2nd antennas 102, 103 and 1st and 2nd transmission reception units 111, 112 corresponding to the antennas 102, 103, and a control section controls components in the device 101. When the received data from either of the two antennas 102, 103 keep prescribed quality or over and a speech channel sufficient for one carrier is in use, it transits to an operation of one carrier. A corresponding receiving unit 114 (116) is de-energized to keep the speech quality in this state to reduce the power consumption. |
