<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high output fiber laser which is capable of efficiently exciting laser rays, easily manufactured, and easily handled even though the exciting light source is small in size. SOLUTION: A laser fiber 2 whose one end is fixed to a reflecting mirror 5 is wound in loops, the wound parts of the laser fiber 2 which meet each other are jointed, a waveguide 1 is inserted into each of the joints 4 from upstream side and welded to the joint 4 to form an optical coupler which feeds a pumping laser, the pumping laser is introduced into the laser fiber 2 at several points so as to increase laser beam, and the laser beam is projected to the outside through the other end of the laser fiber 2.</p> |
