<p>The invention concerns a ball-bearing coupler comprising a tubular muff joint (2) provided with an outer annular step (4), a tubular sleeve (3) whereon is coaxially fixed a cage for maintaining the balls (12) with orifices (10) for receiving the balls, and a socket (13) coaxial with the cage (6) and mounted thereon by means guiding (14, 15) the socket in rotation about the coupler longitudinal axis enabling an angular displacement ( alpha ) of the socket relatively to the cage between first and second positions, the socket comprising for each ball a first recess (16) extending opposite the corresponding orifice for the socket first position to form atop element retaining said ball in a position projecting inside the cage and a second recess (17) connected to the first recess by an inclined wall (18) and offset relatively to the first recess by an angle corresponding to the angular displacement for receiving said ball in a retracted position relatively to its projecting position for the socket second position.</p> |
