<p>A secondary lithium battery comprising a positive electrode (1) capable of charging/discharging lithium ions, a negative electrode (2) comprising a material capable of being doped or undoped with lithium ions, lithium metal, etc., and an electrolyte through which lithium ions can move. The negative electrode (2) contains an imide compound represented by chemical formula (1) wherein Z is -(CH2)n- (n is an integer of 2 to 7, 1,2-cyclohexylene, or 1,2-phenylene each of which may be substituted; and X is hydrogen or alkyl, aralkylcarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aralkyloxycarbonyl, or imidyloxycarbonyl each of which may be substituted.</p> |
