<p>A method is provided that increases productivity to produce diamond heat sinks having precise dimensions and smooth edges with no defects and capable of exhibiting improved insulation. According to this method, a diamond substrate (1) with metalized layers (2) on upper and lower sides is cut vertically by a laser beam, and the modified diamond (5) on the cuts caused by the laser irradiation is partly removed by a diamond grinding tool (4) to maintain insulation on the upper and lower sides.</p> |
