<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody the stable rotation of a guide roller which guides a traveling magnetic tape. SOLUTION: This guide roller includes an upper flange 28 which regulates the position of the top edge of the traveling magnetic tape, the roller 27 which guides the travel of the magnetic tape, a lower flange part 27c (integrally constituted with the roller 27) which prevents the dislodgment of the magnetic tape from the roller 27 and a shaft which bears the upper flange 28 and the roller 27. The impressing force F4 that the magnetic tape impresses on the roller 27 is nonuniformly impressed on the roller 27. The guide roller described above is so constituted that the position of the roller part bottom end 52 to be most strongly impressed with the impressing force F4 on the roller 27 exists in the position between the guide roller top end 50 of the roller 27 and the guide roller bottom end 51.</p> |
