<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to restore destroyed magnetic stripe(MS) data or reissue a registered bankbook by an automatic teller machine(ATM) itself without going to an window in person and asking a teller even when the MS data of the bankbook are destroyed. SOLUTION: The ATM is provided with a means (control part 7) for acquiring bankbook information (pages and lines being printed), transaction printing information (final balance printing information) card information (account number, etc.), and an indentification(ID) number when a read error is generated in MS data in a transaction using the bankbook, a means (control part 7) for sending the information acquired by the information acquiring means to a host computer 2 at a center and requesting the restoration of the MS data of the bankbook or the reissue of a new bankbook and a means (control part 7) for restoring the MS data of the bankbook or reissuing a new bankbook on the basis of permission information informed from the host computer 2 as the result of judging the validity of the request.</p> |
