PURPOSE: A method for restricting connection of an internet television is provided to connect an internet television with an internet site corresponding to the current broadcasting program rating. CONSTITUTION: A method for restricting connection of an internet television comprises of: determining whether a current broadcasting program rating is an adult rating or a child rating if a key for switching an internet connection mode is input; determining whether the connected internet site is the adult rating or the child rating after connecting an internet television to an internet site; displaying an input of password on a screen if the connected internet site is the adult rating and the television broadcasting program is the child rating; determining whether the input password is equal to a predetermined password if the password is input; permitting the internet connection if the input password is equal to the predetermined password, or restricting the internet connection if the input password is not equal to the predetermined password.
