ALARM CONTROL METHOD USING TV

PURPOSE: An alarm control method using a TV is provided to prevent the unnecessary power consumption and perform an exact alarm function by varying an audio level received while muting a received broadcast signal. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: judging whether an alarm time set in a count operation is reached after a TV is turned off according to the setting of an alarm mode(S6); selecting a corresponding broadcast channel after the present time is judged to be the time corresponding to the alarm mode and the TV is turned off(S7); muting a video signal according to the selected channel and outputting the audio in a low level for a certain time period(S8, S9); and stepping up an audio output in a second level if a confirmation key is not inputted for a certain time(S11).
