PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard coat composition capable of suppressing optical interference for a very refractive lens and causing no blackening phenomenon by UV and no impairing of beauty even when optical parts are used for long periods of time. SOLUTION: This hard coat composition for optical parts contains as a matrix formation component an alkoxysilane hydrolyzate composed mainly of trialkoxysilane containing a mono-epoxy organic group, and a titania metal oxide composite particulate as an optical interference suppression agent. The titania metal oxide composite particulate is composed primarily of TiO2 and contains SiO2 as a major secondary component, ZrO2 and K2O as minor secondary components. |
