RADIO MODEM AND SYNCHRONIZATION ESTABLISHING METHOD IN THE RADIO MODEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio MODEM that receives no effect of noise at a head of a serial signal. SOLUTION: A signal invalidating circuit 35 provided to an output side of a reception circuit 20 in the radio MODEM is provided with a gate circuit 37 that validates a reception signal (RX-DATA) upon the receipt of a carrier detection signal (SQ) denoting reception of a carrier and with a delay circuit 39 that gives the carrier detection signal (SQ) to a gate circuit 38 with a delay. Thus, other part of the reception signal (RX-DATA) than a head part reaching the gate circuit 37 earlier than the carrier detection signal (SQ) is validated and passes through the gate circuit 37 and given to a control section 15 via a converter 14, where synchronization is taken and a prescribed processing is executed.
