The device has carrier (3) that is moved back and forth between rest position in which drive roller (2) of wheel (8) of trailer is disconnected, and drive position in which roller is pressed against wheel. The rotation axis (2a) of roller is set to an angle other than 0[deg] in rest position corresponding to wheel axis of rotation (8a). The angular position of roller axis is changed, when it reaches the input position during pressing of roller against wheel. The carrier is moved in movement path by parallel displacement between rest position and drive position.
