PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polypropylene resin having an excellent low-temperature impact resistance, transparency and rigidity. SOLUTION: A propylene/ethylene block copolymer essentially comprises a propylene homopolymer and a propylene/ethylene copolymer and satisfies the following (1)-(3). (1) The amount of components eluted at 30 deg.C, measured by temperature rising fractionation, is from 10 to 30 wt.% per the total amount of elution, and the ethylene content in this portion is from 10 to 25 wt.%, (2) the amount of components eluted at a temperature ranging from 40 to 85 deg.C, measured by temperature rising fractionation, is from 15 to 75 wt.% per the total amount of elution, and (3) the intrinsic viscosity [η]1 of the component eluted at 103 deg.C or higher, measured by temperature rising fractionation, and the intrinsic viscosity [η]2 of the component eluted at 30 deg.C or lower, measured by temperature rising fractionation, satisfy the following formula: 4/3.[η]1>[η]2.
