PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parameter value setting method with which an operator setting a parameter by a knob which endlessly rotates and stetting a value within a prescribed range in accordance with the rotation position of the knob can set the parameter value that a user intends and to provide a storage medium. SOLUTION: A parameter value is set corresponding to a dial position P from a minimum value to a maximum value (S5). When the dial position P exceeds the minimum value before it exceeds the maximum value, the minimum value is kept as it is (S9). When the dial position P exceeds the maximum value before it exceeds the minimum value, the maximum value is kept as it is (S7). When the dial position P exceeds the minimum value before it exceeds the maximum value and it is returned to an original position after it exceeds '0', the parameter value corresponding to the returned position is set (S14).
