PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both for background parts incapable of applying voltage to a liquid crystal layer and for pixel parts to perform the same color display by coloring a first printed layer and a second printed layer with the same color. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display panel comprising counter electrodes 2 provided on a lower substrate 1, segment electrodes 4 provided on an upper substrate 3 and a liquid crystal layer 5 between the lower substrate 1 and the upper substrate 2 and using overlapped parts of the counter electrodes 2 and the segment electrodes 4 as pixel parts, the construction of the liquid crystal display panel is equipped with a first printed layer 8 on the upper side of the liquid crystal layer 5 and a second printed layer 9 on its lower side. Because the first printed layer 8 and the second printed layer 9 have nearly the same color, observers hardly recognize the difference between the first printed layer and the second printed layer.
