PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit rotational force smoothly to a main spindle holding a hone and vibrate the spindle axially with a small force by arranging an intermediate shaft between the main spindle and a drive shaft, connecing them with a flexible connection member, and reciprocating the intermediate shaft with an intermediate reciprocation mechanism. SOLUTION: When a drive shaft 41 is rotated with a drive motor 40, a main spindle 30 is rotated by two flexible shaft connection members 55 and an intermediate shaft 50. Then, when a cam drive motor 70 constituting a reciprocation generation part 65 is operated, a cam plate member 63 serving as a cam surface is rotated, and an intermediate shaft retainer 61 abutting on an end face of the cam plate member 63 is moved to increase displacement of the intermediate shaft 50 from a reference axis. Simultaneously, the main spindle 30 is energized downward by a spring 17. With these two actions, the intermediate shaft 50 is reciprocated parallely and the main spindle 30 is vibrated in the axial direction. By actuating the rotation and vibration mechanisms of the main spindle 30 simultaneously, the hone retained at the tip of the main spindle 30 is vibrated axially while rotated. |
