PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inundation, by arranging a spacer through a circular seal member between adjacent front and rear shell bodies, and fixing them detachably with connection tools and screw-form fastening tools. SOLUTION: A connection device 11 is constituted of a spacer 12 provided with an arcuate connection face 12a corresponding to the outer peripheral face of a skin plate 3a of a rear body 3, a connection tool made of a bolt-form connecting tool 15 or a hydraulic cylinder 61, fastening bolts 17, and a circular seal member 20 surrounding all bolt holes 18. When a nut 15 is removed and the connection tool 15 is taken away to separate the rear body 3, high pressure water is prevented from flowing from through holes 13, 14 into the rear body 3 by the seal member 20. After a cut off plate 16 has been welded with the hole 14 to close it, the bolts 17 are rotated until the front end thereof is exposed from the hole 18, and the gap between the bolts 17 and the bolt holes of the skin plate 3a is welded to seal it. And the spacer 12 is separated from the excavating machine. In this way, high pressure water or soil is prevented from penetrating in the inside, and the excavating machine can be easily separated. |
