PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing master plate having a new base body and a hydrophilic layer while not using an aluminum metal as a supporting body, and to provide a method for the production of the printing plate using this master plate. SOLUTION: The first constitution consits of forming a petaloid alumina layer as a hydrophilic layer on a supporting body using a glass substrate, ceramic substrate or metal substrate as the base body, and applying a negative or positive photosensitive layer thereon. In the second aspect, after an image is formed on the obtd. lithographic printing master plate by irradiation of active rays or high-density energy light, and if necessary, heat treated, the image is developed with an alkaline developer, washed with water, treated with gum, and dried to produce a printing plate. |
