PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting drive circuit capable of driving a light- emitting element at high speed. SOLUTION: This light-emitting element drive circuit is provided with a light-emitting element L1 with an earthed cathode, a current source CSI connected with a power supply terminal and an anode of the element 1, an inverter CI1 to be inputted with a drive signal, and diodes D1 and D2 connected between the anode of the element L1 and an output terminal of the inverter C11 so that the direction of the flow of a current from the anode to the output terminal is changed to the forward direction. A potential difference in the anode at the time of an extinction and the time of an emission is reduced and the high- speed operation of the drive circuit is realized.
