<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar apparatus whose abnormality is detected and judged in the usual usage state of a vehicle without transporting the vehicle to a special environment and by which the misconception of the position of an object to be detected or various problems based on the misconception can be prevented even when the sensitivity of the radar apparatus is lowered or when a transmitting-receiving means is damaged or the like. SOLUTION: This radar apparatus is formed in such a way that a radar-beam transmitting means 30 is provided, that a radar-beam receiving means 40 is provided and that a processing device 50 which detects the position of an object, to be detected, on the basis of a transmitted signal and a received signal is provided. The radar apparatus is constituted in such a way that the moving member of a wiper is passed inside the radiating region or the receiving region of a radar beam. The radar apparatus is provided with a wiper-operation detecting means 57 which detects the operation of the wiper. The radar apparatus is constituted so as to be provided with an abnormality judgment means 51a which judges the radar apparatus to be abnormal when the wiper is not detected by the processing device 50 in a state that the operation of the wiper is detected by the wiper-operation detecting means 57.</p> |
