telephone equipment. SUBSTANCE: method for releasing telephone lines is designed for private telephone exchange networks, in which call path is routed twice through same commutation node. Said private telephone exchange network has multiple commutation nodes, each of which has unique identification node number. Each pair of nodes is connected to multiple trunk lines. Said method involves searching list of telephone call identifiers, including identification numbers of nodes and bound identification number of trunk call used for detection and establishing route for call between calling party and called party, checking list of call identifiers in each commutation node with respect to presence of information about identification numbers of redundant nodes, and releasing unnecessary trunk lines between identification numbers of redundant nodes.
