PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the body fat rate more reflecting the body fat of an aimed specific part such as internal organs within a human body, and relatively easily perform this measurement. SOLUTION: A method for measuring the body fat rate determined by a living body impedance that is the impedance of the body of a subject and individual data such as the weight of the subject is constituted as follows. A current path is formed within the human body between two feed points A and B partially including the portion between (e) and (f) to be measured for body fat rate in a human body 1, arid located on the outside of (e) and (f) which are both ends of this portion and present on the outer surface of the human body. This current path is formed by supplying a constant current I by the contact of a current path-forming electrode each with the feed points A and B. The potential difference Vef of the portion between (e) and (t) to be measured for body fat rate is measured through voltage measuring electrodes brought into contact with two measuring points C and D present on the surface of the human body away from both the terminals (e) and (f), respectively. According to this, the living body impedance between both the terminals (e) and (f) is measured, whereby the body fat rate in this portion can be determined. |
