PURPOSE: An apparatus for grounding an electronic equipment is provided to inform a user whether a building is grounded or not or whether a virtual ground terminal is needed by denoting information on an audio-visual apparatus. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for grounding an electronic equipment includes a building ground detecting part(20) which generates a signal according to whether a building is grounded or not. A switching part(40) is switched on or off between an AC-power source(10) and building and virtual ground terminals. A signal providing part(50) which is connected to a signal output terminal of the switching part(40) rectifies a signal which is inputted through the switching part(40). A comparing part(60) compares the rectified signal from the signal providing part(50) with a predetermined reference value to determine whether the terminal connected with the switching part(40) is a ground or not.
