<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale collection device with low pressure loss and high scale collection efficiency, wherein mixed scale is separated by providing steam main flow with a bent passage or a branch/conversion passage in a steam piping which guides steam from a boiler to a turbine. SOLUTION: A lateral branch tube 2 is provided on a vertical lowering tube 1 which leads steam from a boiler to a turbine. A tubular pocket 3 is provided on the bottom end of the vertical lowering tube 1. Two baffle plates 6 are provided inside the tubular pocket 3 with their surface parallel to the tube axis. Scale separated by inertia force from a steam flow, which flows from the vertical lowering tube 1 to the lateral branch tube 2, into the tubular pocket 3 can be separated effectively, without being swirled up because no swirl flow inside the pocket 3 is generated due to the flow dividers 6 prevent any swirl flow from generating. In addition, a scale collection device configured by three bent tubes and an upward branch tube and the like is also provided.</p> |
