PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the human interface performance which can reduce the burden of a user by outputting the guidance to lead the user into a range necessary for acquiring an iris image in the visual information, voices, etc., when the user is located out of the said range. SOLUTION: An AF(auto-focus) action is started (SA1) to measure the distance between an iris recognizer and a user (SA2). It is decided whether the user is located within a recognition effective area and also whether the user is located close to or distant from the iris recognizer if the user is located within the effective area (SA3). If the iris position of the user is closer to the iris recognizer than the recognition effective area, the guidance is outputted in the visual information, voices, etc., to instruct the user to move away from the iris recognizer (SA5). Meanwhile, the guidance is outputted to instruct the user to move close to the iris recognizer when the iris position of the user is more distant from the iris recognizer than the recognition effective area. |
