PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to produce sign-boards of diversified display contents with extremely simple stages regardless of the sizes of the sign-boards by providing a recording material suitable for sign-board production without the impairment of the retroreflectivity of the reflection sheets of the sign-boards. SOLUTION: The electrostatic recording material 10 has a substantially transparent plastic film 11, a conductive layer 12 formed on this film 11 and a dielectric layer 13 formed thereon. The total ray transmittance thereof is >=86% and the haze value is <=15%. The dielectric layer contains 0.5 to 12 wt.% pigments. This process for producing the sign-board consists in forming a mirror image 16 by electrostatic recording on the dielectric layer 13 of the electrostatic recording material 10 and sticking the dielectric layer 13 side of the electrostatic recording material 10 formed with the mirror image to the reflection surface of the reflection sheet 30 via an adhesive 37. The rear surface side of the reflection sheet 30 is then stuck to a substrate 20, by which the sign-board is produced. The sign-boards of various sizes and display contents are extremely easily produced simply by printing the electrostatic recording material 10 with the mirror image and affixing the same.
