PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for converting a hydrocarbon resource by using a supercritical water by which a gas comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide, a light oil consisting essentially of BTX, and a water-soluble oil consisting essentially of phenols are produced from the hydrocarbon resource in high conversion by using comparatively small amount of energy without enlarging the apparatus and without causing the coking phenomenon. SOLUTION: A hydrocarbon resource is reacted with water in a region 13a under 25-50 MPa pressure at 380-500 deg.C temperature to provide a gas comprising hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, a water-insoluble oil comprising a heavy oil and a light oil, and a water-soluble oil dissolved in the water by the primary decomposition. The residue formed by the primary decomposition is reacted with the water in the region 13b under 25-50 MPa pressure and 500-800 deg.C temperature to provide the hydrogen and the carbon monoxide by the secondary decomposition. The residue formed at the secondary decomposition is burned in the region 13c under 25-50 MPa pressure and 800-1,200 deg.C temperature to provide the carbon monoxide.
|
