PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To illuminate a road-way in front of a vehicle sufficiently with a first partial flux of light reflected by the first partial region of a reflection mirror even at the time of movement of the second partial region. SOLUTION: A headlight for a vehicle for projecting a variable flux of light is arranged so that the light emitted from a light source 20 is reflected as a first partial flux by a first partial region 16 of a reflection mirror 14, wherein the upper light-dark boundary asymmetrical of the first partial flux lies on that side of a road where the applicable vehicle is running and at least partially higher than on the side of counter-direction traffic, when the light emitted from the light source 20 is reflected as a second partial flux by second partial regions 18 of the reflection mirror 14, even if the upper light-dark boundary over the second partial flux is positioned at a high level, at least one of the second partial regions 18 of the reflection mirror 14 is moved for changing the extending shape of the second partial flux at least in a horizontal plane lying at the same level with the light-dark boundary of the first partial flux. |
