<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture displaying device quickly displaying a picture whose resolution is improved without using any expensive exclusive hardware or the like in a picture displaying device which displays a picture by changing the display position and/or display size of the picture. SOLUTION: In a picture display device which displays a picture by changing a speed for changing the display position and/or display size of the picture according to an instruction applied from a remote control device or the like, whether or not the instructed speed is higher than a prescribed speed is judged (S142), and when the instructed speed is higher than the prescribed speed, the size changing processing of the display picture is operated by a method in which the processing speed is given priority over picture quality (S143), and when the instructed speed is not more than the prescribed speed, the size changing processing is operated by a method in which the picture quality is given priority over the processing speed (S144).</p> |
