<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a phenomenon lowering axial force of a parking brake due to contraction of a brake pad itself according to lowering of a temperature of a friction element (brake pad) at the time of operating the parking brake. SOLUTION: This brake is constituted of an electric motor 5, rotary motion/ linear motion converting mechanisms 10, 12 for converting rotary motion from the electric motor 5 into linear motion and friction elements 4A, 4B advancing and retreating toward a member R to be braked by operations of the converting mechanisms 10, 12. In this case, elastically deflecting means 12A, 21, etc., are provided on a force transmission path between the electric motor 5 and the friction elements 4A, 4B.</p> |
