PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester fiber having excellent slippery feeling, little in change in the slippery feeling even after washing, and having little felt formation before washing and after washing of an opening-processed product. SOLUTION: A crimped polyester short fiber having a crimp number of <=20/inch and a percentage crimp of <=25%. This fiber is characterized in that a static friction coefficient between fiber/fiber (μS0) is <=0.18, a specific resistance of a fiber (logΩ) is <=10.9, the static friction coefficient between fiber/fiber after 10 times model washing (μS10) is <=0.22, and the increasing ratio of the friction coefficient between fiber/fiber after 10 times model washing to that before washing (μS10/μS0) is <=2.0. |
